Ice cream celebration

We had a pizza + ice cream + ice cream session today. FUN.

I like RITE pizza, it is nice, esp BBQ chicken! cheese, roasted chicken, onion, tomato, pineaple and bbq source , in thin crust, 12 inch size. I like it because it so juicy, much more better than pizza hut!

We ordered 6 boxes ( it is a 1 for 1 deal, quite worth the money). And it all finished by 16 ppl in just 10 minutes. Omg, can you imagine how hungry my colleagues are.. haha. I am the slowest one, of course, i spend about 20 minutes to finish 3 pieces, when they already ate their ice cream, sponsored by the company, to thanks all employees work through with the company during hard times.

In the afternoon, there is another round of ice cream sharing session. Our boss scoop-ed us the ice cream, haha, good job, boss.
The managers also bought us some tea break snacks, which is so special, because other department don't have it.

OK, a few dollar of ice cream can buy me to say good words to the company already. Ha ha.

Record of the failure in selling a phone

Just out of sudden want to try selling out my new phone through ebay.. haha.. maybe i can be enterpreneur (dreaming too big, and too early). So i try to list it like below ...

I just bought Nokia XpressMusic 5630 from starhub yesterday 9/24/2009 (Thursday). So it is brand new, i just open and tested it. Mine is BLUE color. Warranty 1 yr (from Nokia, not me:).
I got my own phone alrdy, no chance to use it. Would like to re-sell it at $360 ( since this is the price I saw when I search ebay). If you are interested just email me, and we can arrange to pick up.

Saw shop outside there still selling at $350. But i still keep the price at $320. Someone ask me if this is CWM (comes with music) , i am sorry , it doesn't have, but got 10 free tracks which can redeem online.

2. Learn to be Creative

Humans are naturally creative - that's how our minds work. With practice, anyone can become good at it. Some people think that ideas spring out of nothing. But creativity is really about using and manipulating knowledge to sovle problems: how to dry clothes in wet weather, how to speak to someone thousands of miles away, how to lose weight without exercising. So to be creative, you have to start looking for problems or issues that need a solution.

Creativity also involves applying what you know. Some great inventions happen this way. For instance, 'Post-it' notes are the result of crossing non-sticky glue with memo pads. So it's really about thinking outside the box.

3. Learn to Empathise
Empathising is about seeing things through someone else's eyes. You need to be able to imagine how other people feel. This is best done by placing yourself in their shoes.

Being empathetic brings you close to people. You will be able to sense someone's hurt if you have been rude to them, and you may think twice before uttering a white lie.

4. Learn to communicate
If you don't say what you mean, you won't mean what you say.

Clear communication is really about understanding what you want to say, and then using simple tools to convey it. If possible, practise writing every day (your own blog) or volunteer for a newsletter. Writing against a deadline or with a team forces you to work quickly.

5. Learn to separate Truth from fiction
Everyday, subject at least one piece of information, such as a newspaper article or somene's blog to scrutiny. Analyse each sentence and every word, and ask yourself what you are expected to believe. Then take a step back and ask yourself whether there's reason to believe and feel this way, or whether you are being manipulated.

6. Learn to build Self-Esteem
All the knowledge and skills in the world are meaningless if you lack self-esteem. Nobody can make you value yourself, so you have to take charge of your own sense of self-worth. Tell yourself you are smart, strong, cool, and whatever else you want to be. Then start doing things that re-affirm that quality. Want to be smarter? Solve a crossword puzzle. Wish to build your character? Do something challenging. Want oto be a better person? Be a volunteer for charity. Remember, the only one who can stop you from doing great things, is yourself.

7. Learn to live meaningfully
Many people live for no reason at all. They make more and more money, or they seek fame and power. Even after attaining these goals, they still find life meaningless. That's because money, fame and power are the means to help us achieve what we believe is worth doing. You can have the fastest rocket in the world, but without a meaningful destination, it's just a cool machine.

If you don't decide what's worth doing, someone will decide for you. And at some point in your life you will realise that you haven't done what is worth doing at all. So spend some time, thinking about what is worth doing. Now.

很多人是不知道自己要什么的。媒体给什么就收什么。
媒体如何形容，他们的情绪就被统一的影响，这就是媒体的力量。

但是，往往又出现了另一种反应，称之为‘反媒体自做聪明型’。就是我这种了。媒体不喜欢的，我偏偏喜欢。

媒体是谁？

大众？　

不是，媒体是那个报章的记者，电台的ＤＪ。他们用传媒的力量去影响别人投他们所好　（当然老总才是最后说话的人）。　

不要轻易相信报章的形容词，因为通常需要夸大其词才能让读者有想象的空间。
